Lantern 2

This sculpture grew out Lantern 1. It is a parametric design, with three spiraling lobes and a gash against the main direction of rotation.

The form from certain angles resembles a human waist, walking; like a human aging, the flat paper is susceptible to gravity, which deforms it downwards over time. Viewed head-on, the piece disappears almost entirely.
